This was created en plein air during the Chincoteague, Va. plein air event.  It was a stormy day and I had to pack up once when the deluge started.  That was a different scene and I decided it wasn’t my best effort so I took a lunch break and then when the storm was over I drove around looking for what caught my eye.  This is at the bottom of Main Street and I was looking through a chain link fence but the puddles in the dirt road and the dark squall line was just what I needed.  Many seagulls came and went, laughing all the way.  They probably thought I was a funny site on the side of the road.

This painting is now part of my Plein Air Easton gallery and must be purchased through the event.
