Road Less Traveled

This painting was done en plein air while sitting inside my car because the rain squalls just wouldn’t stop that day.  It was during the Chincoteague Va plein air event so no matter what the weather conditions you still need to get some paintings done for the exhibit at the end of the week.  Like they say ‘Plein air painting isn’t for wimps’.  It’s either too hot, too cold, windy and /or raining but we still do it.  The end product outweighs the conditions, or atleast that’s what we strive for as plein air painters.
